Whether it's savings, earnings from a part-time job, or a monetary gift from a family member, take a moment to survey what you have saved or what you may earn from working during your education. You may be surprised. Cash payments can be made in a variety of ways:
Title IV Funding is federal financial aid, including Stafford, PLUS loans and Pell and Supplemental Educational Opportunity grants intended to help cover the balance of school costs after any cash payments. The loans, designed for students and parents, feature special interest rates and can be repaid over a maximum of 10 years. The grants, which do not have to be repaid, vary depending on financial need (the Supplemental Educational Grant Opportunity is for students who demonstrate exceptional need).
Private funding can be used to supplement your Title IV financial aid, or, if you choose, private funding can function as your main source of school financing. For more information about the private funding available, contact a campus near you .
Scholarships are awards that do not have to be paid back. In general, Lincoln scholarships may be awarded to promising students who have excelled in their class work and displayed leadership abilities in their schools and communities. Our campuses offer a number of scholarships to graduating High School Seniors through our Scholarship Testing. This is a basic skills test given at certain schools throughout the year.
There also may be specific scholarships for enrolled students that our Admissions Department can help you apply for once you have been accepted and enrolled. State Grants may also be available depending on your individual state. Since institutional scholarships and State Grants may vary for all locations and have individual application criteria, it is best to contact a campus near you to receive more information.
