ONLINE WEB DESIGN

The Web Design Associate of Applied Science program is designed to prepare students for entry into the dynamic web design industry. Students will learn to design websites and interactive multimedia while learning current industry software and the technical and design skills necessary to be a successful Web Designer. Dynamic web content, streaming multimedia and interactivity are emphasized in this program, as well as copyrighting and freelancing fundamentals. The program will provide fundamental coverage of the skills necessary for career enhancement and personal and professional growth. Students will also develop an understanding of the unique challenges of the industry and develop an extensive portfolio of web and multimedia projects. A Design Capstone class will be completed towards the end of the program and will give students the opportunity to design a media-based project to simulate working in a media-based design studio. Upon completion of this program, students will be trained for entry-level positions in the web design industry.
