You’ll acquire the skills necessary to apply problem solving techniques and correctly test, diagnose, replace, and repair a variety of vehicle systems including mechanical, electronic and hydraulic as well as vehicle accessories. Lincoln College of Technology's Columbia Campus offers an Associate of Applied Science degree in Automotive Technology that can provide you with the skills necessary to:

• Troubleshoot and service a gasoline powered internal combustion engine
• Replace, overhaul and adjust fuel injection systems
• Evaluate electrical components using diagnostic equipment
• Inspect and service front wheel-drive and rear wheel-drive vehicles
• Diagnose and repair rotors, drums and anti-lock braking systems
• Test, replace and repair ignition systems
• Perform service and repairs to automatic transmissions and transaxles as well as steering and suspension systems
